following a project where i clocked in and out of the studio as though i was at an office job, i created a new punch card, which i'm usuing to collect data from 16 key areas i assign purpose to in my life. at the end of the series (undecided) i will release the list of purposes whilst the order of which they were recorded in remains undocumented. the data is being punched onto receipt paper, a material commonly associated value but in itself, disposed and disregarded constantly. i chose this material because it connects well with the common notion that paid work should be put ahead of personal work and the individual places we find value often aren't respected or prioritised as much as our 9 - 5s. these receipts are proof of a life outside of that, and a record of the value those things hold whether recognised by an institution/business or not.
